The major was newly established in 2020. It aims to cultivate students with good overall quality, solid professional foundation and application ability of Myanmar Language, good command of English and comprehensive knowledge structure that can make them adapt to China’ foreign exchanges and national and regional development. It also focus on cultivating inter-disciplinary talents with international vision who are able to engage in diplomatic translation, foreign trade cooperation, international cultural exchanges, tourism management, press and publishing, foreign language teaching and foreign issues research in the fields of agriculture, economy and trade, culture, tourism, education, scientific research, etc. We will lay a solid foundation for further training high-level translation talents. This major implements the multi-language training mode of “Myanmar+ English”, and cooperates with relevant universities in Myanmar for training. In the sophomore year, students will go to Myanmar universities to study for six months. In addition, we will fully rely on the advantages of our school to cultivate students’ ability to do Myanmar translation works with knowledge related to agricultural sciences.
